We report three pediatric liver transplant recipients receiving
tacrolimus immunosuppression presented with vomiting,
heme-positive stools and failure to thrive, who had subtotal
villous atrophy in their histology because of food protein
sensitivity. Case findings and current literature of the casual
relationship between tacrolimus and food allergies briefly
reviewed.
