Standards of Mycotoxins.

In most countries there are laws controlling the presence of mycotoxins in foods being imported or marketed , and limiting their concentrations to sharply set limits. Therefore laboratories dealing with mycotoxins need to produce accurate, validated quantitative results and to compare their results to results obtained using standard reference solutions with well established and validated concentrations.

To meet their needs, Fermentek announced a new line of products known under its brand name FermaSol, solutions prepared at the most useful concentrations, to make them ready for use.

Why standard solution?

Standard solution is more than just mixing 500 nanograms of aflatoxin M2 with one milliliter of high grade Acetonitril. Official laboratory test of food stuffs, is indeed operation bearing heavy legal responsibility. Fermentek is ISO-9000 and ISO 13485 certified, and is qualified as GMP Q7A compliant. Fermentek's FermaSol standard solutions are prepared from our best crystalline toxin products, and best HPLC supra grade solvents. But in order not to rely only on our own quality control, FermaSol products is also tested by an independent laboratory,  MIGAL  Laboratories, which is ISO 17025 and ISO 17011 certified. On request, a joint certificate of analysis bearing the seals of Fermentek and Migal, and containing the analytical methods in detail, will be attached.
